- Baidu, which is the most popular search engine in China, has a similar design layout to Google, but is heavily censored.
- Yandex is Russia’s answer to Google. Powered by AI, they utilize cookies, and their machines are constantly learning in order to provide better search results for their users.
- DuckDuckGo is among the most popular alternatives to googling. DuckDuckGo is the search engine for those who want privacy. They do not track and consistently block access from others trying to obtain your search history.
- Swisscows is notable for its privacy settings, and does not store your data. Many parents utilize Swisscows and find their family-friendly privacy policies ideal for their children’s internet experience.

I prefer to use Google as my main search engine. I do not like the layout of Bing’s search engine. I hate using Yahoo for anything, because there are so many ads, and layout is also horrible. I feel as though there is an ad everywhere on Yahoo’s site, and I get so much spam my yahoo email that I stopped using it altogether.
Yes, Yahoo began struggling in 2008, they closed Geocities in 2009, and started laying off people in large numbers. The lack of vision of Yahoo!’s executives reached its peak when they refused to buy Google in 2002 for $3 billion, considering this amount overvalued…. It should be recalled that they had acquired Geocities and Broadcast.com in 1999 for $3.6 billion and $5.7 billion respectively!
I haven’t heard of any of the other search engines besides Google, and didn’t know that Pinterest was a search engine. I just assume I would only be able to search for images on there, and since it always asks me to sign in to my account in order to view certain results, I tend to not use Pinterest at all. It’s also time consuming to be scrolling through images versus just text, because I get through more results scrolling through text than I would images due to the space the images take vertically on a page.
The target audience for Pinterest is mostly women. Pinterest is my goto place for finding infographics… ; )

However, the benefits don’t just stop with beautiful decor and fancy jewelry. Pinterest is a great place for IP companies to share how-to articles and infographics.
